Recently, Eusoff had our annual talent night with a spectacular line-up! No longer held at the function hall, we pulled out all stops to hold R(EH)VOLUTION atttt …. your friendly lecture theatre. From block performances to cultural group showcases, it certainly was a night sizzling with talent! The night started with a FANTASTIC CAR BANG featuring some slick moves from our fellow Eusoffians dancers. Guess we all know we’ll be getting our money’s worth come DP aye? After the dance, the Eusoff bands put up an amazing performance with hits that got us to shut up and dance with me~ ooohoooh- whoops got carried away.. Moving on, Eusoff A Cappella and Choir serenaded the theatre with their voic- excuse me have I die and gone to heaven because that was exactly what it was. While we may possibly still be recovering from sensory overload, we can’t forget our blocks and the sick performances they’ve put up, can we?

*censored* Dart, what kind of stick are you waving around so enthusiastically?
We had A Block’s very own “The Life of Dart” showcasing, well, The Life of Dart. Seems to us that he has a little stick in his life which he can’t really control. It rises as it pleases and has girls swarming over him as he swings it around the stage. In the closing scene, Dart finally resolves this issue by finding a new passion in life by joining the Eusoff band. He serenades us with his lovely guitar playing skills and his lovelier voice which led to the stage trying its damnedest to stay strong while supporting the weight of the hundred fangirls who flocked to him (and his stick). Pulling a Pied Piper, I see?

So we overheard someone commenting: “He should’ve worn a bra!”
B block’s EMCEE BEST EMCEE lah. He’s manly enough to look good in a dress, has a cleavage so deep you’ll get lost in it, and his charisma? His charisma got us carried away, like how his biceps carried this performance to be the BEST BLOCK PERFORMANCE of the night! Sorry girls, this dashing young lad, Yang Jun, is sadly attached. Rumour has it that that pretty number he was wearing was his wedding dress.

We watched as they whipped the nae nae outta us
C Block seemed to be promoting interracial marriages amongst Eusoffians with their rendition of ‘Love is an open door’, which, face it, beats the original hands down legs up. PROPS to C block for spending so much time and effort into preparing this live music video for us (They made actual doors. And carried them to FASS... CAP 5.0 FOR EFFORT? ) And CB’s (couldn’t resist) Shoot Shag Marry block bonding game must have inspired them because we were gathered on that special day, to celebrate the holy matrimony of CB’s resident royalty Sky King Foong and Prince Arun with a new DP dance item by CBlockers- What’s that? Not a DP item? Well, it should be?! And did we mention their laptop-spinning opening act? What a whopping (whipping?) feat!

D Block cranes flying through the skies
Could the D in D Block stand for Dance? Because dance they did. With a dreamy, proposal-worthy dance performance that weaved a light-hearted love story, the D Blockers certainly earned their 2nd in this friendly competition. Oscar award winner Joo Yuan stunned everyone with his rendition of “Unbelievable” and managed to seduce Christine with his *coughs* sexy movessssssssss. Well, we certainly wouldn't forget this performance in a
thousand years, would we?

All about ‘em gains….
While D Block’s performance had an award winning drama plot, E Block won us over with an intoxicating (intoxicated?) showcase of their dance moves. Their performance started with them dancing to 噢噢噢噢你是我的花朵, sticking firmly to the cultural theme of the night. This followed with a Hollywood style reminiscent of hunger games, with katniss evergreen?! represented by their own resident angmoh. (Their showcase of Gentleman though swept us off our feet and gave us all a (not so) gentle boner. They ended off with a nostalgic performance of the Harlem Shake, popular light years ago, before sobering up and walking off the stage.

And here we have a face to one of the reporters, Alan the yoyo master.
*straight after the performance*
Alan: WAH ALMOST SHIT MY PANTS SIA
Wen Xin: HAHA. Why?!
Alan: It was really scary having so many eyes staring at me! When you perform you not scared one meh?
Wen Xin: Scared lah! My hands were clammy, my heart was pumping, my legs were shaking, I think I was melting like CHOCOLATE FONDUE! Alan: LOL wah nice one isn’t that the lyrics of the song you performed!! Wen Xin: It might be *wink* Doesn’t it feel good to perform on stage for your fellow peers though? [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
Alan: YAH totally! Like everyone is actually performing for each other during the whole night! It makes me feel the camaraderie amongst my blockmates :D Wen Xin: EXCUSE ME! Block mates only meh?!
Alan: HAHHA OPPPS I meant Eusoffians since……
Alan and Wen Xin: we are ONE EUSOFF *HANDS WAVING WILDLY IN THE BEAUTIFUL NIGHT*

You wish you had half their swagger
This year’s R(EH)VOLUTION proved to be the first sucessful fusion of both cultural and talent night. It was a really great exposure for fellow Eusoffians to knows more about each other’s artsy fartsy side and the journey (and bottles) the blocks went through to come up with the block performance brought them closer to each other. What a great way to celebrate the end to mid terms (well at least for most of us sorry for the mec eng bruhs) I Fine Thank You Love You<3
